Why isn't my webcam detected?

Question: Why isn't my webcam detected? 

Answer: Screencastify might not be able to detect your webcam because Google Chrome is having trouble accessing it. 

First, let's test your webcam at cam-recorder.com

1. Click on the link above
2. If you aren't able to view your webcam, this means Chrome might be blocking access.

3. If you are able to view your webcam continue to the steps below

If your webcam is detected by Chrome there might be something else going on

You can fix this by following the steps below:

1. Restart Chrome
2. Restart your computer
3. Uninstall and Reinstall Screencastify
