When you choose to store your recordings locally, your video files are stored in a local sandboxed HTML5 system managed by Chrome.
This file system resides in the profile directory of Chrome, but cannot be accessed directly with the file browser of your operating system.
TIP
We highly recommended automatically saving all of your videos to your Google Drive. It's much safer and you will see more options for exporting your recordings.
If you save your files locally and would like access to a video file itself, you must export the recording from your My Videos library. Here is a quick walkthrough on what this process looks like:
Note: You may see a message in your My Videos folder that says "Synchronization with Google Drive is disabled." This will appear as long as you do not have your recordings set to save with Drive, although you will still be able to download your recordings locally.
If you have additional questions about the local download process, please submit a support request and a member of our support squad would be more than happy to help!
