How do I set up Castify Storage for my account?

Note: During initial account setup, you will be prompted to select where your recordings are stored (Castify Storage or Google Drive). This cloud storage selection is permanent and cannot be changed after your account is created.

Castify Storage is Screencastify’s built-in, secure cloud storage solution. When selected, all of your videos are automatically stored and organized directly within your Screencastify account—meaning you do not need to use or connect external Google Drive storage space.

Here's how you can set up Castify Storage during account setup:

1. After installing the extension, click on the pinned Screencastify extension in the top right corner of your Google Chrome window.
2. Click on the blue Sign in button. 
3. You'll be redirected to the sign-in page, where you can select the blue New to Screencastify? Create an account button to create an account.
4. Click Sign Up With Google.
5. Choose the Google account you would like to connect with Screencastify, then click Continue. You'll be redirected to the onboarding page.
6. Choose your Role and select Castify Storage as your storage.
7. Lastly, click Get Started to finish setting up your account.
