How do I create an Interactive Question?

To create interactive questions for your video, you will want to first be on the Video Management Page for the video you wish to create them for! You can create both multiple choice and short response questions! Below are the steps on how to create each question type:

Multiple Choice

1. Open the 'Video Management Page' for the video you wish to create questions for. You will then see a button labeled 'Interactive Questions' under 'Video Features'. Click on this button and it will launch the Interactive Questions page.
2. Once the Interactive Questions page is launched you can begin creating your questions! You can click anywhere on the timeline of the video to place your question or enter in the time manually. Click on the blue button 'Add Question at X time' to add your question. The question box will pop up for you to edit.
3. Select 'Multiple Choice' from the 'Question Type' dropdown.
4. You can add up to 4 different answer options (you can also add only two i.e. True or False or Yes or No if you'd like). Each question must be 250 characters or fewer and each answer must be 250 characters or fewer. You must also select which answer is the correct one by clicking the checkbox next to the correct answer. There can only be one correct answer for multiple choice questions.
5. You also have the ability to select a 'Question Weight' for each of the questions you create. This will be the number of points allotted to the question itself. If you choose to not select a weight, you can reduce the weight number to 0. When a student answers this question, it will be graded automatically if a weight has been assigned to it.
6. Once your question is complete, hit 'Save question'. You will then see your question on the right hand side of the video (stating the question type) as well as a question counter in the bottom right hand corner of the video showing how many questions have been added and how many points total the questions are worth (if they've been allotted).

Short Answer

3. Select 'Short Answer' from the 'Question Type' dropdown
4. Type in your question in the question box. Your question can be a max of 250 characters.
5. You can then set the character limit for the short response up to 1000 characters. The default is automatically set to 1000 characters.
6. You may also set a 'Question Weight' for the question or reduce the number to zero if you do not wish to have a weight set.
7. Short answer questions will not be automatically graded when a student responds.
8. Once your question is complete, hit 'Save question'. You will then see your question on the right hand side of the video (stating the question type) as well as a question counter in the bottom right hand corner of the video showing how many questions have been added and how many points total the questions are worth (if they've been allotted).
