How to Set Up Castify in ClassLink

If your school or district uses ClassLink LaunchPad, a ClassLink administrator can add Castify from the ClassLink App Library and make it available to the appropriate users.

Follow the steps below using the ClassLink Management Console (CMC).


Add Castify from the ClassLink App Library

  1. In the ClassLink Management Console, expand Applications and select Add & Assign Apps.
  2. Click App Library.
  3. Search for Castify.
  4. Click Add.

Note: If the button next to Castify says Remove, Castify has already been added to your ClassLink account.


Add Castify to an App Library

After adding Castify, you'll need to add it to the App Library used by the profiles that should have access.

  1. In the ClassLink Management Console, expand Applications and select App Library.
  2. Locate the App Library you want to use.
  3. Under the Assign Applications column, click Applications.
  4. Find Castify and click Add in the Action column.

Creating a new App Library

If you need to create a new App Library:

  1. Go to Applications > App Library.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Configure the new App Library as needed.
  4. Add Castify to the new library.

You do not need to create a separate App Library specifically for Castify if you already have an App Library assigned to the appropriate profiles. Castify can be added to your existing library.


Assign the App Library to the appropriate profiles

ClassLink uses profiles to determine which App Libraries are available to specific people and groups within your school or district.

To confirm the appropriate profiles have access:

  1. Go to Applications > App Library.
  2. Locate the App Library containing Castify.
  3. Use the available dropdown and checkboxes to select the profiles that should receive the App Library.

Once Castify has been added to the appropriate App Library and the library is assigned to the intended profiles, your ClassLink setup is complete.
