Transform follows Castify’s existing video permissions.
Only users with the correct permissions can generate documents from a video.
Users who can generate documents
The following roles can use Transform:
Video Owner
The owner of the video can generate, edit, and export Transform documents.
Video Co-Owner
Co-owners have the same Transform permissions as the owner.
They can:
Generate documents
Edit documents
Regenerate documents
When a co-owner generates a document, the generation counts toward their personal usage limit, not the original video owner’s.
Users who cannot generate documents
The following roles cannot use Transform:
Viewers
Viewers can watch the video but cannot generate documents.
Copiers
Copiers can duplicate the video but cannot generate Transform documents from the shared version.
Student and restricted accounts
Transform is not available for restricted student accounts.
However, students can still view documents attached to a video's Watch Page if the document was created by an owner or co-owner.
Multiple accounts
Usage limits apply per user per account.
If you belong to multiple accounts, your Transform usage is tracked separately in each account.
