If you are having trouble signing into Screencastify, you may want to use Screencastify from an incognito window. This will help determine whether a setting in your Chrome browser, or another extension, might be blocking your access to Screencastify.

Record Extension in Incognito Mode
To use the Screencastify Record extension in Incognito mode, you must grant the extension Incognito access from Chrome's extension manager.
- Open up the Chrome extensions manager (click the
icon in the top right of your browser, then click "More Tools" --> "Extensions")
- Find the Screencastify extension and click on "Details"
- Scroll down and enable "Allow in Incognito".
- Open up the Chrome extensions manager (click the
icon in the top right of your browser)
- "New Incognito Window" should now appear. Click to open a new incognito window!
REMINDER: Screencastify never records or stores your browser history.
Screencastify Editor in Incognito Mode
To access the Screencastify Editor in an incognito window, open an incognito window.
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More
New Incognito Window.
- A new window appears. In the top corner, check for the Incognito icon

You can also use a keyboard shortcut to open an Incognito window:
- Windows, Linux, or Chrome OS: Press Ctrl + Shift + n.
- Mac: Press ⌘ + Shift + n.
Once you have an incognito window open, head to https://edit.screencastify.com.
Screencastify Submit in Incognito Mode
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More
New Incognito Window.
- A new window appears. In the top corner, check for the Incognito icon

Once you have an incognito window open, head to https://app.screencastify.com/submit.
