No preview video

What happened to the preview video where I can see myself as I am recording? Doesn't seem like these posts get any replies, so hopefully you can help?

  Hi Zachary,

  Sorry for the delay in our response! Here are the steps to embed a webcam in your recording. 

  1. Click on the Screencastify extension icon to open the Recording Control Panel
  2. Select either the Browser Tab or Desktop recording option
  3. Enable Embed Webcam and select your camera (Not seeing your webcam? Click here for troubleshooting help)
  4. Start a recording. You'll then see your webcam appear on the screen.

  You can turn your webcam on and off throughout your recording as much as you like. Simply click the camera icon in your annotation toolbar to toggle your webcam on and off during your recording. Note that your recording must begin with the embedded webcam and/or microphone turned on for this icon to appear in the annotation toolbar.

  Thank you for the response and I appreciate your apology for responding 1 month after my post. Unfortunately, the steps in your reply did not work. I know how to use your application. Those directions are directly on your application. But how to turn a webcam on and off isn't my problem. My webcam works, it creates a video, but there is no preview video. That is my issue. Again, thank you for your help, I will check back in another month for your reply.

  I am sorry for my confusion. The preview video feature is something we no longer offer. I would greatly appreciate any feedback you have on why you enjoyed that feature. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.
