Overview

The AI Generation feature for YouTube videos allows users to effortlessly create questions based on their video content, generating questions, transcripts, translated transcriptions, titles, and descriptions. These questions are automatically generated using AI and are accompanied by answers and timestamps, enabling educators and content creators to make their videos more interactive and engaging.

Note: AI question generation relies on captions being enabled for the YouTube video. Without captions, AI question generation is not possible.

How It Works

To use the AI Generation feature, ensure your YouTube video meets the following requirements:

1. Captions Enabled: Captions must be applied to the video. If captions are missing, questions cannot be generated.

2. Minimum Video Length: The video must be at least 1 minute long.

3. Audio Required: The video must contain audio.

4. Exclusions: This feature does not currently work with YouTube EDU videos.

The number of questions generated will vary depending on the length of the video. Once generated, users can:

• Review the questions along with their corresponding answers and timestamps.

• Select individual questions or choose Add All to use all generated questions.

How to Generate Questions, Transcripts, Translated Transcriptions, Titles, and Descriptions

1. Go to the Premium Library Tab: Access this from your home page.

2. Choose the YouTube video and click Add Video from the preview page.

3. From the Video Management Page (VMP), select AI Assistant then Enhance Video. The AI Assistant will:

   • Generate Captions

   • Enable Translations

   • Generate Titles

   • Generate Descriptions

   • Generate Quiz Questions

   

4. Note: If the YouTube video does not have captions (controlled by the creator), AI-generated questions will not work. 

5. After the AI Assistant is done processing, click Add Quiz.

6. Under the AI Assistant section, select Generate Questions. AI will process the video and provide questions, corresponding answers, and timestamps.

7. Review the generated questions and select the ones you want to include. Use the Add All option for quicker selection.

8. Finalize your selections and share your enhanced video by selecting Finalize & Share.

• Ensure Captions Are Accurate: High-quality captions improve the relevance and accuracy of generated questions.

• Use With Longer Videos: Videos of at least 2-3 minutes tend to generate more comprehensive questions.

• Engage Your Audience: Select questions that align closely with your video’s educational goals or interactive purpose.

• Review Generated Content: While AI provides a solid base, reviewing and refining questions ensures they fit your intended use.
