How to Use the Sharing Feature

Sharing Folders

Sharing folders is a seamless way to organize and share multiple videos with others.

1. Navigate to My Videos: Log in to your Screencastify account and go to the "My Videos" section.

2. Select the Folder: Find the folder you wish to share and click on the action menu (three dots).

3. Click "Share Folder": This option will open the sharing settings for the folder.

4. Add People: Enter the email addresses of the people you want to share the folder with. You can add multiple email addresses.

5. Set Permissions:

   • Can View: Allows the recipient to view the videos within the folder.

   • Can Copy: Allows the recipient to make copies of the videos within the folder.

6. Send Invitations: Click the "Send Invitations" button to notify the recipients via email.

Sharing Videos

You can also share individual videos directly from the video management page (VMP).

1. Open the Video: Go to the video you want to share.

2. Access Share Settings: Click on the "Share" option in the video menu.

3. Set Permissions:

   • Can View: Allows the recipient to view the video.

   • Can Copy: Allows the recipient to copy the video.

4. Send Invitations: Once you have configured the permissions, click "Send Invitations."

Permissions Behavior

• If a folder is shared, the permissions of the videos inside it inherit the folder’s sharing settings.

• When a folder or video is shared, an email notification is sent to the recipient with a link to access the content.
