Sharing settings in screencastify

When I record a video, the default setting in Screencastify is private to me. I can change it to share with anyone who has the link, but I can't make this setting stick. I can't find a way to make this setting permanent.  What am I missing?

  Thanks for reaching out! A video, upon creation, is always set to 'Private.' As soon as you click the blue 'Copy Share Link' button, the permissions will automatically update to the default permissions you have set for your video. If you have not yet set default share settings, the permissions will update to the default settings set by Screencastify ('Anyone with the link' and 'Anonymous') once you click the "Copy Share Link" button.
