Screencastify never shows in Chrome menu bar?

I have tried to install Screencastify on my Late 2014 iMac running Mojave two times.  Each time it appears to install, I set the preferences, etc. but the icon never shows up in Chrome’s menu bar, so I can’t access it.  Can anyone help?

  If you've already installed Screencastify but can't find the extension, it's likely either hidden from your extension toolbar or disabled.  Please see this article for information on how to unhide or enable the extension: I can't find the Screencastify extension
