Unblur Backgrounds and Books

I've been trying to record myself reading books, explaining anchor charts, and demo-ing math strategies but whatever I'm holding or whatever is in the background gets blurred out. How can I stop that? Is it a screencastify issue? I've defaulted to recording them with QuickTime and uploading to YouTube but I would rather use Screencastify.
