Import music, external audio, voiceovers etc into the editor

  1. Please give a quick overview of your product feature request or feedback and note who is affected by this issue [ex. teachers, admins, students, etc.]: Allow users to add separate audio tracks to their projects in the editor like music, voiceovers etc. This affects all users of the editor regardless of role
  2. What problem do you see this solving? It would create a richer editing experience and would allow for more robust customization of videos to share. It would also help if you could add voiceovers in case you didn't like the way you spoke in the previous video, then you wouldn't have to re-do the video all over again. Just add in audio
  3. When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool? What happened? How often does this problem occur and how does this impact your work? This happens fairly frequently when editing videos. Users would like to add music or voiceovers to make more interesting videos. Often, if users want to add things like this, they need to use a different editing tool
  4. Are you currently using a workaround to solve this problem? (If yes, please explain). There is no workaround, just have to use a different editor but would prefer to use the one connected to Screencastify!
  5. What would be your ideal solution to this problem? How would it work or function? It would be nice to upload a separate audio file and then have the ability to edit that separate track as well like trimming, cutting, rearranging, and adjusting audio volume.

    I 100% agree with this post.  Adding additional sound files, especially if you are a premium user would be great.

    I also agree to this post. For example, I thought I was recording the screen with an audio, but for whatever reason, I made an error and there was no audio. Now, I would have to record again to add audio. Also some days, you just don’t like the audio recording so having a feature to edit or add audio would be really great!
