    Hi Michelle,

Thank you for reaching out and I'm sorry you're experiencing this 😔

If you can no longer see some or all of your recordings in My Recordings library, there are a few potential explanations.

    1. Your videos were moved from the "Screencastify" folder in your Google Drive. If you connect your account to Google Drive, all of your recordings will be saved in a folder called "Screencastify". If you move a video file out of that folder, it will no longer be visible in My Recordings in Screencastify.
    2. You switch your storage location from Google Drive to your local device. If you switch locations, any previous recordings that were stored in your Google Drive won't be visible on your My Recordings page.
    3. Screencastify was uninstalled and then reinstalled. If you save your files locally (and not in your Google Drive), they will be deleted if Screencastify is uninstalled. Unfortunately there is no way to recover your recordings if this occurs.

Since we don’t host your videos and cannot ever access them, we do not store any backups and unfortunately won’t be able to recover them.

For the "oops" message in the Editor would you mind clearing your cache and try again. (You can copy and paste chrome://settings/clearBrowserData into a Chrome tab and click Clear data.) If you continue to see the "oops" message please submit a support request for further assistance.

Please let me know if I can assist with anything further-thank you!
