G-Drive Folder name

We had a teacher change the name of the screencastify folder in her Google Drive. Now her recordings do not seem to be saving anywhere.

Questions: Can you change the name or location of the Screencastitfy folder? 

If not, can she create a new folder in her drive titled Screencastify and have the videos go there?

Where would these videos now be going?

    Hi Toby,

    That's odd! You can rename the Screencastify folder. I would double check the my recordings page to see if their videos are saved there. 

    If you can no longer see some or all of your recordings in My Recordings library, there are a few potential explanations.

    1. Your videos were moved from the "Screencastify" folder in your Google Drive. If you connect your account to Google Drive, all of your recordings will be saved in a folder called "Screencastify". If you move a video file out of that folder, it will no longer be visible in My Recordings in Screencastify.
    2. You switch your storage location from Google Drive to your local device. If you switch locations, any previous recordings that were stored in your Google Drive won't be visible on your My Recordings page.
    3. Screencastify was uninstalled and then reinstalled. If you save your files locally (and not in your Google Drive), they will be deleted if Screencastify is uninstalled. Unfortunately there is no way to recover your recordings if this occurs.
