Every school and teacher considers student safety a priority, and we know this may mean jumping through some hoops to guarantee this. If you work at a school that bans YouTube from student Chromebooks, for example, you can use Screencastify to capture the content from a video.
To Capture Audio from YouTube
- Click on the Screencastify extension.
- Select Browser Tab.
- Click on Show more options and enable Tab Audio.
Note: If you do not use headphones, disable the Microphone to avoid an echo in your recording.
Voilá! 💃 You can now record the audio from YouTube. Here is an example.
To Add An Introduction
To take your video to the next level, begin your recording by mentioning what you want students to pay attention to and look for while watching. 😄
- Click on the Screencastify extension.
- Select Browser Tab.
- Enable the Embed Webcam and Microphone options.
- Click on 'Show More Options' and enable Tab Audio.
- Click Record and begin by recording your introduction.
- Once you have finished explaining what students should look for in the following video, mute your own microphone and play the video.
