When site-wide license assignment is enabled, everyone with an email @yourdomain.com will be able to claim one of your licenses when they sign in to the Screencastify extension. These licenses will be doled out on a first come, first serve basis until you have no licenses remaining.
- Go to your License Manager
- Click the toggle next to "Automatic Assignment" to turn it on
- Enter your domain name (e.g. "screencastify.com")
- Click outside the text box to save
NOTE: If you have a site-wide license with more than one unique domain and want to automatically assign licenses, add the second domain in the same place and hit enter or click outside the text box to save.
Users vs. Admins
If you purchased a district-wide license, you will NOT see the tab for individual users to be uploaded. Instead, we suggest that you use "Automatic Assignment" to share Screencastify Unlimited for all of your students, teachers, and staff members.
If you purchased a school-wide or group of licenses, you will see this tab and as your users claim Screencastify licenses, their emails will appear here. You can reassign or revoke those licenses at any time.
If you purchased a district-wide, school-wide, or group of licenses, you can assign additional License Admins to appear here.
License Admins have access to the License Manager page and can add individual licenses, perform bulk uploads (if you have purchased a school-wide subscription or group of licenses), and turn on automatic assignment.
A License Admin does not automatically receive access to Screencastify Unlimited. They only receive access to being a License Admin.
NOTE: If you have an Unlimited number of licenses, you will NOT see the number of licenses that have been assigned nor will they be tracked under "Users." Individual users are not tracked for accounts with an Unlimited number of licenses.
