If you get stuck signing into your Submit Dashboard, it's likely because your browser (or another extension) is blocking third-party cookies. To resolve this, you can:
- enable 3rd-party cookies,
- add Screencastify to your allowed sites,
- try logging into your Submit Dashboard with an incognito window,
- reset the access to Screencastify from your browser, and
- ask your Google Admin to ensure that Screencastify isn't blocked.
To enable 3rd-party cookies
Here are the instructions on how to enable 3rd-party cookies in your Google Chrome browser:
- In Google Chrome browser, at the top right, click More (three dots menu) and then Settings.
- At the bottom, click on Advanced.
- In the Privacy and Security section, click Site settings
- Select Cookies
- Disable the slider next to Block third-party cookies and site data:
To add Submit to allowed sites
- Go to chrome://settings/content/cookies in a Chrome browser
- Add [*.]screencastify.com to the Allow list
To log into Submit using an incognito window
If another extension is blocking access to your Submit Dashboard, you can try logging in with an incognito window, where all extensions are automatically disabled.
To open an incognito window:
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More (three dots menu) → New Incognito Window.
- A new window appears. In the top corner, check for the Incognito icon:
You can also use a keyboard shortcut to open an Incognito window from a current Chrome browser:
- Windows, Linux, or Chrome OS: Press Ctrl + Shift + n.
- Mac: Press ⌘ + Shift + n.
Once you are using an incognito window, try to log into your Submit Dashboard. If you are successful, it likely means that:
- one of your extensions (perhaps an adblocking extension) is preventing you from accessing Submit,
- or your school or district is preventing access to Submit.
Reset the access to Screencastify from your browser
If none of the above options work to help you sign in, please revoke access to Screencastify and try signing in again. You can revoke access by going to:
- Third-party apps with account access
- Screencastify
- Remove Access
Your Google Admin is Blocking Access to Screencastify
Your Google Administrator may have a policy enforced that keeps you from signing into Screencastify. Please ask them to fix it by following these directions.
In case your Google Admin asks, when this policy is enforced, Screencastify sees the following:
error: "admin_policy_enforced"
error_description: "Access denied by a security policy established by the
Google Apps administrator of your organization. Please contact your
administrator for further assistance."
You will not be able to log into Screencastify with your school- or district-issued account until this is resolved by your Google Admin.
