You can use your Screencastify Editor to edit videos from a variety of sources, whether you have recorded them using the Screencastify Recorder, or any other tool.
Import a Clip
To edit a video clip (or a series of clips), we first need to add the recordings to the Editor:
Allowable upload file types: .mp4 .webm .mkv .flv .f4v .avi .mov .wmv .mpg .mpeg .m2v .m4v .3gp .3g2
- Open the Screencastify Editor at https://edit.screencastify.com
- Click on the blue "+ Add Media" button to add a clip
- Choose whether you would like to add a clip from Google Drive or upload a clip from your computer by selecting 'Upload'
NOTE: You can also add multiple clips at the same time by clicking on the first clip and pressing and holding the Shift key before clicking on another clip. This will highlight all of the clips between the first one you clicked and the last one you clicked:
You can also select multiple clips at once if you would like to add more!
After those clips have been chosen, you will see this pop-up at the top of your screen:
Hit 'OK' to proceed with loading your selected clip(s) into the editor!
The Editor will begin processing the videos:
Each clip that you have added is now sitting in your editing timeline:
